Some work, some play in Seattle.

This weekend we headed north. We attended an open house for one of our distributors, Evergreen Pet Supply. Sounds boring, right? Wrong. They do up a better open house than any other I've seen. They make it fun, have a great mix of vendors showing new products, and actually serve good food, and have whacky events and giveaways. Not to mention they pay for the hotel, and give you a deep discount on additional nights. All around winner. We actually found a few new products we're excited about; but you'll hear more about that here tomorrow. With most products aimed at cats and dogs, sometimes it's a wash. Not this year.

We also took some time to visit our friends at Rabbit Meadows (formerly Best Little Rabbit, Rodent and Ferret House). We dropped some product off at the store, then attended their fundraiser. Again, you'll find more here in a bit.

In the mix we tried a few fun things (links go to my review on Yelp):

Tour of Boeing's Everett facility (thumbs up)

Theo Chocolate (thumbs down)

Fremont Sunday Street Market (thumbs up)

Indoor Sun Shoppe (again up)

Amante Pizza and Pasta (and another up)

We were traveling on the cheap, so we ate some light meals and split a meal at Cheesecake Factory one night (a shared appetizer, entree and dessert is PLENTY for two people) which is hardly exciting enough to warrant a review.
