The realities and requirements of stop action animation have always fascinated me. In part because it is all so wholly outside of my abilities and understanding. To devote one's self to such a project, for such a time, and actions which require such a fine detail touch... my mind can hardly comprehend.
I'm more of an immediate gratification, grandiose gesture kind of gal.
I love the details behind the scenes. The Coraline site has some good shorts, but I can't wait for the DVD to come out as it's no doubt going to have lots of "how it was done" material.
