A New Year!

Any day is a good day to resolve to do something better, but The New Year just seems ripe for reconfiguring your life. Each year during "the holidays," the previous year's mini bucket list gets reviewed, and a new one is written.

How do you take advantage of the energy that naturally comes with the winter solstice?

There is much to do this year: saving more money, spending more time with friends, using the resources we already have to create things of useful beauty. Less spending, less chasing of the material, and more time at home. More cooking, less eating out. These are all things that started, really, in mid-December. So we're well on track!

And as it remains cold, more afternoons of this: reading on the couch and cuddling with dogs in front of a fire!
