Thankful for modern technology in the skincare industry.

About twice a year I have a little fun at Sephora. A few weeks ago I deftly avoided the Hello Kitty perfume line, but came away with a little bag of goodies, all but one have proven to be awesome. (And the one that wasn't, was returnable; that's one thing I enjoy about Sephora, and it frees you to really try things without worry. It was the blue mascara from Buxom; it never dawned on me it wouldn't be waterproof, and thanks to watery eyes from allergies waterproof is NOT an option.)

There's one amazing product that deserves mention. I feel like such a shillin' tool, but... seriously, this stuff WORKS for a problem that before never really had a solution.

Benefit's POREfessional is a lightly tinted base that you swipe over areas in which you'd like to see a reduction in pore size. You use an amazingly small amount, so the tube should last a while. (And, this isn't cheap.) You then apply makeup as usual. And... it works. Using the word amazing seems a bit out of place, but it's awesome. After a few weeks it hasn't bothered my somewhat sensitive skin, or caused any other type of problem. While it's just a cover, the situation even without makeup seems somewhat improved, too, somehow.
